Have you noticed the changes? They make contact management better, communicating with clients easier, and zip code searching visual-er. If you have ever looked at the flexmls list of suggestions, you know these updates are FBS Data’s response to feedback they have received from their users. And their not done yet, within this release of updates is a promise for more to come.
The first few pages of updates are focused on contact management and client communication. There is a new column on the main contact management screen that indicates whether your clients portal is turned on or off and it allows you to sort by portal status – which I’m pretty sure was impossible before. The contact summary report has new portal columns as well – indicating the status and last login.
Real estate agents can now recommend listings to clients with the click of a button. There is a new blue star next to the faces – you know the favorite, possibility, and reject faces – that flag the listings to be included in the new ‘Recommended’ row. They have also made it easier for you to write and read messages about a specific listing with your clients.
If you have ever been to a flexmls class I’ve taught, you know I really like the mapping feature. It allows you to draw custom search areas, create radius searches based on mileage, and save your creations for one-click searching at a later date. So it should be no surprise that when they improve the mapping feature, I get excited. Well, they have and I am. You can now have the zip code boundaries show up on the map. There are 2 ways to do this – either click the ‘Overlays’ tab in the upper right corner of the map or click the new ‘Find via Map Area’ button underneath the zip code
input field. With outlined zip codes for the entire valley, you can easily see the exact area you are searching.
This incomplete list of changes is intended to wet your appetite. Check out the ‘MLS Message Board’ in the bottom left corner of the flexmls dashboard for a link to all updates. If you haven’t looked at it since Monday, look again – it’s changed. They have removed the multiple photo upload tool and have added a bonus for their IDX customers.
