Listing Flyers – Flexmls Feature Friday

Another awareness day here at F³.  I know there are a plethora of tools out there on the “internets” that help you build flyers to showcase the homes you have listed for sale.  But did you know you have listing flyers in flexmls?  Here’s why they are cool and how to find them.

It’s really handy to have flyers within the flexmls system because they auto-populate the details from the listing.  No need to type the address, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, price, etc.  Simply click one of the templates and BAM! the flyer is generated for you.

If you’re not happy with the default templates you can change them.  From Preferences -> My Reports, you can edit or build your own flyer templates.  (Although in my opinion, this editor is one of the weaknesses of flexmls – it’s hard to use.) Hopefully you’ll find one of the 5 default templates will fit your needs.  Here’s a less than 3 minute video showing the how, what, where stuff.  Beware: it’s our Valentine’s Day edition of flexmls feature friday.

    Phil,

I use the flyers quite a bit, but did’t realize that I could edit them. Cool! Thanks for the tip…. and HVD :-)

Thanks for highlighting these Phil! I spent a good amount of time in the HTML editor section of the Report Editor trying to make these flyers useful for folks. I’ve often wondered if anyone was taking advantage of them. Thanks for letting people know they are available and that they can refine them further if they like.

Marcy, it was YOUR job to build the flyers? Oh man, I thought they came from FBS. Wow. I bet you did spend a good amount of time in there. That editor is hard to use. Thank you for the templates.

Thanks, Phil! But I can’t take all the credit. FBS provided the templates layouts, but they only contained place holders for listing data. Back in the beginning the place holders were bulleted lists with ‘Bonus feature’ repeated for each bullet. I figured that would dissuade folks from using them at all because they would be forced to edit them every time just to get any data from the listing to appear. So I took on the project to make them one-click, print ready.

BTW, I’m the one that made the choice to make the list price red on Flyer 1, so I was cracking up when you used that example in your video.

I’m totally enjoying F-cubed so please keep up the great work!
