That’s what I thought when I first heard about these handy little images. I credit Diane Flannigan (yes, she’s doing great in San Fran!) for first putting them on my radar. Shortly after they showed up, there they were again, and then once more. Once it hit 3 times in 2 weeks I decided to do some googling. Turns out these little barcode-like images make print media interactive. They make your listing flyers interactive. Here’s how…
Once again the post-billing ARMLS numbers are out. Here is the member count as of July 22, 2010.

Like a NASA space launch, the new ARMLS.com has blasted off into cyberspace. Much more than a face-lift, the new site is a complete overhaul of our whole web experience. New features are afoot with a look real REALTORS® can love. Live Helpdesk Chat instantly connects you to ARMLS support, while the “flexPoweredUP” video series illustrates time savings techniques on flexmls.
Our “My ARMLS” section offers Subscribers the ability to sign up and easily manage training classes and contact information. Going even deeper into the new site, you will notice rich content that is organized for easy and intuitive Subscriber access. Each page also includes links to our social networking pages and a quick login box.
We hope our new Website supports and serves our Subscribers on a higher level. We are appreciative of John Hall & Associates to let us announce this first step towards a bigger and better digital presence right on their blog.

**CLASS IS FULL**
Bryan Jones with the Talon Group has organized a class on the government foreclosure alternative program HAFA to be held July 21st at the PV Office from 1-4pm. (Class Flyer)
For those of you that have been to the Kiva room at the PV office, you know space is limited. Please be sure to let bryanjones@talongroup.biz know you’re coming!
The other day I was reading some articles on Tucson Broker Kelley Koehler’s blog. Kelley is a REALTOR®, speaker, blogger, and a contributing author to AAR’s blog. She bust’s out excellent content on a regular basis. (If you’re in the market for a computer back-up solution, be sure to read her post about carbonite.) One of her articles that I especially liked was about REALTORS® developing a sense of online curiosity.
Kelley thinks there is a sense of fear holding back some REALTORS® from fully exploring online opportunities. She talks about a greater sense of curiosity needed to overcome the fear. Since I totally agree, I wanted to pass the article along. After you’re done reading it, get out there and explore!
You should! Well, the happy ones anyway.
Last month I had an opportunity to guest teach a GRI class with Marge Lindsay. In the class, we discussed having recent home buyers or home sellers write letters of recommendation for your real estate services. Then you can include them in future listing presentations or buyer consultations.
I think this is an excellent concept, but I’d like to change the medium. Instead of actual letters of recommendation, let’s ask for online reviews of your services. Send them to yelp to write reviews! (To add your business to yelp – visit the yelp business page.) Once the reviews are online, they are there for all to see. If you’d like to include them in your listing presentations, simply print them out.
So what do you say? Are you willing to write a review for John Hall & Associates? If so, please visit John Hall & Associates on Yelp. It’ll be much appreciated!
Here is the NAR Government Affairs email Marge received last night.

The extension applies only to transactions that have ratified contracts in place as of April 30, 2010 that have not yet

There is will be no gap between June 30 and the date the President signs the bill into law.NAR worked closely with Congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle to enact this important legislation. Extending the Tax Credit Closing deadline will help provide additional stability to real estate markets across the nation.
